Electrical Engineer - Electronic Assembly
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret ClearanceRate: $80 - $88 an hour with partial benefits -
Location: Grand Prairie, TX
This role is hybrid with Monday - Wednesday in the Office, Onsite.
Do you have experience troubleshooting Electronic Assemblies? Have you worked with Pac-3 products?
Are you able to work with a variety of people using Influence and Building relationships? Have you recommended technical issues and ensured appropriate solutions?
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer who is able to improve procedures, worked with Engineering Change Process, and Material Review Boards to ensure Oversight of Vendor Activities, Technical Oversight with Subcontracts, Evaluate Vendor Proposals, complete technical evaluations, and participate in failure investigations with non-conformance vendors.
A technical understanding PAC-3 products, tools and processes is desired but not required.
Impact:
- Primary technical contact for the responsible Missile electronics hardware
- Lead failure investigation, root cause and corrective action; and provide technical disposition/recommendation for production hardware.
- Present technical issues to program leadership and occasionally to SHIELD, ensuring accurate and appropriate presentations
- Coordinate activities between production sites and the program to clear constraints to compliance standards
- Coordinate changes to the existing Technical Data Package to meet program and/or customer needs. Present the changes to the change review boards.
- Coordinate the activities of suppliers in conjunction with Sub-Contracts Management to support overall program goals
- Support Obsolescence Planning and Coordination
- Technical oversight of a major subcontractor.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Field
- Over 8 years of experience in electrical hardware design for both development and production phases
- Ability to interpret and read complex electrical schematics for circuit cards assemblies (CCA).
- Experience using electrical/electronic test equipment such as DMMs, Oscilloscopes, and automated testing equipment for troubleshooting circuit card assemblies and other electrical hardware.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented with a focus on process and quality.
- Travel is required up to 10%
Preferred Skills:
- Estimates for proposals and reviewing suppliers' estimates.
- Control Account Management (CAM) experience
- Failure investigation experience
- Strong background in cross-discipline systems engineering practices including requirements development/maintenance, architecture, hardware/software design, integration and verification
- Material Review Board (MRB)
- Decomposition of hardware for production.
- PAC-3 program, Production processes, Root Cause and Corrective Actions
- Active United States DOD Secret Clearance
