Facilities Manager - Maintenance
IMPORTANT - If interested and qualified, please send me your resume and answers to the questions posed at the end of our posting.The Facilities Maintenance Manager leads and oversees the plant facilities department, ensuring timely execution of all repairs and planned maintenance for plant facilities, including warehouses, offices, utilities, administrative areas, production areas, and grounds.
This role involves daily management of buildings and equipment, modifying existing equipment, and maintaining production equipment to minimize downtime.Key Responsibilities:-Oversee the Maintenance Department across two shifts.-Supervise subordinate supervisors and employees, including conducting interviews, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and managing work, evaluating performance, handling rewards and discipline, and resolving complaints and issues.-Inspect plant buildings, space, equipment, and facilities, and assess assets for form and fitness for purpose.-Understand equipment life cycles to recommend maintenance or replacement, investigate asset failures, monitor maintenance procedures, and enhance equipment performance to minimize downtime.-Source, install, and set up new equipment.-Analyze HVAC systems, computer network wiring, lighting, and other related factors.-Plan, budget, and schedule facility modifications, including preparing cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction and acquisitions.-Perform facility planning audits and develop long-range plans, conceptual designs, and capital outlay requirements.-Formulate and coordinate program specifications, proposals, contracts, and associated documents.-Serve as a liaison with public utility, environmental, and energy agencies, inspect construction and installation progress to ensure adherence to specifications, review contracts for compliance with government specifications, and coordinate building space allocation, layout, and communication services.-Manage the Preventative Maintenance program to ensure all equipment is properly and timely inspected and serviced.
