Fund Accounting & Finance Manager - Venture Capital Firm

Our client, a forward-thinking investment firm in San Mateo County is looking for a new team member. The firm partners with entrepreneurs and innovators to create cleaner, faster, and safer transport solutions. They are looking to grow their assets with the help of more funds and special purpose vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Help manage the firm's finances. This includes things like capital calls, management fees, invoicing, and cash management.
• Check and reconcile the financial reports every quarter.
• Assist in updating financial models, organizing audits, and maintaining the investments of each fund.
• Work with the fund administrator to ensure accurate financial reporting every quarter.
• Manage tools for keeping track of the portfolio to help make investment decisions.
• Help with everyday Finance and Operations tasks, including maintaining the compliance manual and making sure it's implemented.
• Manage the firm's compliance monitoring services.
• Work with HR to make sure employment laws and regulations are followed.
• Work with the VP of Finance and Operations on tax optimization projects.

• 5+ years of experience in fund accounting. This could be with audit clients, fund administration, or in-house fund work.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
