Facility Security Officer
About the Role:
Culmen International is seeking a Facility Security Officer for a future Health and Human Services opportunity.
The Facility Security Officer is budgeted to oversee and monitor the compliance of the facility and their employees according to the requirements of the government and contractual obligations. In addition, the FSO will be responsible for establishing and maintaining all clearances needed based on program requirements.
What You’ll Do in Your New Role:
- Ensure the overall security and safety of the facility, including physical security measures, access control, and surveillance systems.
- Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with ORR regulations, including those specific to unaccompanied minor facilities.
- Oversee personnel security clearances, background checks, and training for staff members working at the facility.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct drills, and coordinate with relevant authorities in case of security incidents or emergencies.
- Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities within the facility and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Provide security awareness training to facility staff, including topics such as safeguarding sensitive information, reporting incidents, and maintaining a secure environment.
- Maintain accurate security records, incident reports, and documentation required by government agencies.
- Serve as a point of contact for security-related matters with the Office of Refugee and Resettlement, law enforcement agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain security measures such as access control systems, CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, and perimeter security.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of (3) years security-related work experience.
- Minimum of (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) preferred.
- Possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Possess a clear Tuberculosis test.
- Ability to successfully clear a background check.
- Ability to successfully clear a drug screening.
- Provide immunization documentation for Tdap, Varicella, MMR, Hepatitis A and B, Varicella.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer
