Robert Half is partnering with a leading national retailer in their search for a Senior Project Manager to support their Media Strategy team. This team, a key part of the retailer’s Marketing organization, is responsible for media strategy and investment across the enterprise and their retail media network.
Location: Hybrid (Minneapolis)
Contract Term: November 2024 - July 2025
The team’s focus includes offsite/paid media and onsite/in-store channels to drive business growth for both the retailer and its partners. As the department launches a new toolset for campaign planning and workflow management in December, this role will support an expanded scope of responsibilities and anticipated increase in campaign volume.

Position Summary:
The Senior Project Manager will support strategic media planning by recommending the ideal media mix and channels to achieve business objectives for assigned campaigns. This role will work closely with Brand Strategy, Category Marketing, the Media Agency, Creative, and Channel Owners to deliver integrated media plans that align with broader marketing goals.Reporting to a Senior Manager, this position does not have direct reports but will play a vital role in managing media agency relationships and ensuring campaign alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic media plans, recommending media channels and strategies to optimize campaign impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of media plans with overall marketing and brand strategies.
- Support management of media agency partnerships, ensuring alignment with campaign objectives and consistency in execution.
- Coordinate campaign planning and workflows, applying attention to detail and proactive problem-solving to meet project milestones.
- Oversee budgets for assigned media plans, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial alignment.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8+ years of media planning experience, ideally within an advertising agency, client-side, or retail media network setting.
- Expertise in digital planning and buying across multiple channels, including programmatic, display, video, CTV, social media, and retargeting.
- Strong media planning and strategy background with project coordination skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration within fast-paced, matrixed environments.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing integrated paid media campaigns for a national retail brand.
- Proven experience managing million-dollar budgets.
- Familiarity with paid search, CRM/email marketing, affiliate programs, and influencer campaigns.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce Media Cloud, and Workfront.
- Background in Retail Media Networks and agency management.
