How you make a difference:
The Occupational Therapist will identify, assess, treat and supervise the treatment of patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, psychological and social dysfunction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations using standard tools, considering factors such as age, gender, cultural background, and medical status, to determine individuals' functional abilities and occupational performance issues.
- Establish clear, measurable, behavioral, and functional goals and recommendations based on assessment results, tailored to meet the unique needs, personal goals, and expected outcomes of individuals following interventions.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members during team meetings to ensure efficient coordination of care.
- Develop, document, and implement individualized and group occupational therapy and rehabilitation treatment programs based on the specific needs and interests of assigned caseload.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education- Master’s degree or greater in occupational therapy.
- Experience in a psychiatric hospital or correctional facility is preferred.
- Holds and maintains permanent license as an Occupational Therapist, Registered
