We are looking for a Straightener that inspects forged parts and use a variety of hand tools, presses, and devices to straighten the parts according to their specifications.
Job Requirements:
- Will use a variety of hammers and fixtures, hand straighten to meet blueprint specifications or to flatten, level or even up parts.
- Set up and operate presses to straighten forgings.
- Use tools to check the dimensions, curves and angles of parts.
- Maintain freezer log book.
- Assure quality and production requirements are met, as per the job-specific travelers.
- Maintain proper storage and care of straightening fixtures and tools.
- Work safe and maintain an organized, clean work environment.
- Strong commitment to good attendance and being on time as it is critical to meet production needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
- Assure quality and production requirements are met, as per the job-specific travelers.
- On-the-job training will be provided for this position.
Skill Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Straightener or in a manufacturing role preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment in work area at all time.
- Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
- In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person.
- English (reading, writing, and verbal comprehension)
- Must be able to work overtime when required to meet operational deadlines.
