Application Production Support Deployment Engineer
Responsibilities:
Oversees all builds and deployment of releases to production and non-production environments
Acts as Deployment Engineer and deploy changes in production & lower lanes
Acts as the Change Coordinator and work closely with development, test and support management teams to ensure smooth release
Acts as a gatekeeper for all in scope environments including production, ensuring proper release procedures are followed
Recommends process improvements and train new resources on Build, Release and Change Management processes
Analyzes software change request in relation to configuration and release management process and strategy
Ensures that QA is performed on each change request prior to approving the same
Coordinates with the multiple internal and external change stake holders and communicate and document as per the process
Owns the daily/weekly reporting and change communications
Works with the CAB (change advisory board) as per the change request type
Participates and provides expertise in technical project discussions / release planning with various stakeholders
Required Skills:
+5 years of performing application change, release or deployment teams.
+5 years of managing a Deployment management team, 4+ people.
+5 years working with Sybase, Oracle, Netezza, SQL Server.
+5 years working with Unix shell scripting, SQL, Ansible, XLR,CI -CD and Autosys
Good written and verbal communication skills
