Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do:

  • Assess and Treat: Conduct evaluations and Identify student needs in the areas of articulation, language, and fluency, and provide high-quality speech and language therapy.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with teachers, school personnel, and families to develop and implement intervention plans tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Support Growth: Offer consultation to parents and staff, serving as a resource on speech and language development.
  • Monitor Progress: Administer screening and diagnostic tests, interpret results, and generate detailed reports to inform instructional strategies.
  • Maintain Compliance: Ensure all documentation and intervention plans adhere to policies outlined by Catapult Learning, the funding source, and partner schools.

Qualifications:

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Current MA DESE Specialist Teacher Certification in Speech/Language/Hearing Disorders and MA license in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Meet all state and federal guidelines in order to be fully licensed.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • A passion for helping students achieve their communication goals and a belief that all children can learn.

Eligibility:

  • Cannot be a current Boston Public Schools (BPS) employee.

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must understand that all children can learn. Must demonstrate positive and enthusiastic attitude toward internal and external customers. Must be flexible. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred. Must be available to work during the summer months.
