Inventory Specialist

SMV Recruiting is looking for a Inventory Specialist for a client of ours in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate willl have 5-10 years experience in inventory management coupled with experience in a custom fabrication shop. This is a full-time position with solid benefits including healthcare, dental, 401K and vacation.

Responsibilities:

• Properly manage receiving in inventory and ensure no defects to the products
• Ensure warehouse is organized properly and correctly
• Select stock to fill customer orders based on the correct order requirements
• Moving product with forklift truck
• Safely operate forklift as needed and other equipment
• Ensure prompt deliveries from drivers
• Perform additional job duties as required

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of warehouse or inventory experience is required
• Forklift certification is preferred
• Valid NYS Driver's License
• Able to lift 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift
• Able to stand, walk, lift and bend for extended periods of time
