Overview:

Community Health Center (CHC) offers comprehensive, community based, preventive, primary care and wellness services for New Jersey residents of all ages at four convenient locations.CHC health care services are designed to meet the specific needs of the entire family – from annual check-ups and immunizations to sick visits, mental health counseling and critical prenatal care.

We are currently looking for a Full Time Front Desk Coordinator to join our team at the Keyport Facility. The position would be responsible for providing coordination of the front office operations at the Community Health Center.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
  2. Provides front desk support and interacts with clients and staff in a professional, friendly manner at all times
  3. Creates and maintains client files and medical records
  4. Provides administrative support to the professional staff and the practice manager
  5. Manages all financial transactions of the CHC front office
  6. Adheres to the organization's policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
  7. Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position

Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma or GED
  2. Prior medical office experience i.e. telephone, fax machines, copiers, appointment scheduling, medical billing, coding data entry a plus
  3. Excellent organizational and customer service skills
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills;bilingual (English/Spanish/Creole) preferred
  5. Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office products
  6. Car and valid driver’s license

Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Business office environment within a fast paced healthcare center with heavy customer service, data entry, phone, fax and computer use
