CDL Driver Manager (Beecher City, IL)

An industry leading Waste and Recycling company in Illinois is seeking a dedicated and experienced CDL Manager to join their team. This role is crucial in overseeing the daily operations of the fleet and ensuring the highest level of service to customers and clients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in waste management or freight/fleet operations and experience working with DOT trucks and processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Training, supervision, and management of 20-25 truck drivers
- Organize and lead morning safety meetings
- Conduct interviews, extend job offers, and handle onboarding for new drivers
- Ride along with drivers to assess performance and provide feedback.
- Utilize knowledge of dispatching processes to make improvements to route efficiency
- Engage with clients in rural areas and townships to ensure service quality and identify areas of improvement
- Address and resolve any client complaints or issues
