Position Overview
Sharon Heights, a premier golf country club known for its exceptional dining and upscale amenities, is seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our culinary team. This leadership role will oversee the day-to-day kitchen operations, ensure exceptional food quality, and maintain the high culinary standards that our members and guests expect.The Chef de Cuisine will report directly to the Executive Chef and play a key role in managing the kitchen staff, menu development, and overall food service operations at the club.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Kitchen Operations: Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and service. Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, restaurant-style dining for members and guests.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with the Executive Chef in creating and updating seasonal menus, ensuring innovation and variety while adhering to the club's culinary vision.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high levels of performance, productivity, and professionalism. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Quality Control: Ensure all food meets the club's high standards for taste, presentation, and portion control. Regularly inspect kitchen equipment and storage areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Inventory & Ordering: Oversee inventory management and order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels. Work within budget guidelines to control food costs and minimize waste.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Conduct regular checks on kitchen cleanliness and organization.
- Member Relations: Interact with club members and guests to understand their dining preferences and special requests. Strive to exceed expectations for every dining experience.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef: Support the Executive Chef in strategic planning for culinary initiatives, event menus, and overall kitchen operations.
- Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or in a senior culinary leadership role, preferably in a high-end or upscale environment (e.g., luxury hotels, resorts, fine dining restaurants, or private clubs).
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining exceptional food quality and customer service standards.
- Proven ability to manage food costs, budgeting, and inventory systems.
- Extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
