Key Responsibilities:

• Draft estate planning documents and actively assist in estate administration matters.
• Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues related to trusts and estates.
• Prepare federal gift and estate tax returns accurately.
• Review court accountings, draft petitions for adjudication, and handle trust modifications and nonjudicial settlements.
• Advise owners of closely-held businesses and assist with business succession planning.
• Support clients with estate and tax planning, fiduciary litigation, and specialized trusts.
• Utilize skills in estate and tax planning, estate administration, trust administration, closely-held business planning, and tax-exempt and charitable planning
• Work within the jurisdiction of the Pennsylvania Orphans’ Court and engage in fiduciary litigation when necessary

Qualifications:

• 2-4+ years of experience focused on trusts and estates law.
• Must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and be licensed in Pennsylvania (PA).
• Strong understanding of estate planning, tax-exempt and charitable planning, and probate/estate administration.
• Experience with the Pennsylvania Orphans’ Court is preferred, but not required.
• Excellent academic background and work ethic.
