Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk based in Tampa, Florida. The successful candidate will be part of our team, handling a high volume of invoices and performing account reconciliation on a daily basis. This role involves working on site, with responsibilities including invoice processing, check runs, data entry and other tasks related to accounts payable.

Responsibilities:

• Generate invoices for customers and vendors using company software
• Ensure accuracy of goods received and reconcile with the invoice
• Reach out to vendors to obtain invoices, and ensure no invoices are missing by obtaining vendor account statements
• Review coding for accuracy in the event that a purchase order is issued
• Make ACH, wire, and AmEx payments on invoices as needed
• Ensure receipts for AmEx card expenses are received and coded in company software

This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. The successful candidate will also need to be proactive and able to determine what tasks need to be completed next. Good communication skills are essential as the role involves lots of follow-up with vendors and others at different sites.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in Check Runs and Coding Invoices
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
