Overview:

The Attorney Talent Operations Coordinator (“Operations Coordinator”) works seamlessly with all Attorney Talent operations team members to provide critical operations support during the entire life-cycle of an attorney at the firm. Working with a high-performing global team, the Operations Coordinator contributes to a variety of attorney-related personnel programs and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Attorney Development Programs: helping to coordinate programs and processes focusing on attorney development such as the firm’s flexible work arrangement program, Associates Liaison Committee, performance review process, partner promotion process, career attorney program and lateral hire integration program.
  • Survey Processes: coordinating logistics for the various survey processes, including Chambers and Vault, as well as ad hoc client surveys.
  • Attorney Career Transitions Process: Coordinating logistics of attorney career transitions relating to changes in work location, practice group, associate level and attorney category. Helping to draft transition letters and liaising with Human Resources, Finance, and Pricing as needed to facilitate changes to job category, compensation, and billing rate.
  • Summer Associate and Incoming Associate Onboarding Process: Drafting and implementing communication plans regarding the onboarding process for the firm’s summer and incoming associate classes, serving as the primary point of contact for any questions. Helping to coordinate firm-wide orientation programming for the summer and incoming associates, including internal trainings, presentations, and events. Assisting with managing the firm’s onboarding platform, survey tools, and work assignment system for summer associates. Developing tools for bolstering cross-functional information sharing and tracking key communications with various stakeholders throughout the onboarding process.
  • Attorney Departure Process: Helping with the coordination of the attorney departure process. Conducts departure logistics calls, acts as a liaison between various business support team members and performs administrative tasks relating to the departure and exit interview process.
  • Client Secondment Process: Supporting the client secondment process. Gathers approvals, helps with drafting secondment agreements, and coordinates with various business support team members to ensure successful administration of incoming and outgoing attorney and paralegal secondments. Tracks and synthesizes secondment details to assist with record-keeping.
  • Global Mobility: Supporting the Global Opportunities Program and related firm supported assignments and relocations, including drafting assignment and relocation letters, coordinating integration schedules and logistics related to the moves, and processing mobility related invoices. Supporting immigration processes for employees in the U.S.
  • General Operations Support for Attorney Talent Department: Creating and updating internal process calendars and checklists for various team operations, maintaining department electronic workspaces, tracking spreadsheets and department infoNet webpages and completing other administrative duties such as creating and revising documents in Microsoft Word and Excel, and creating PowerPoint presentations. Assisting with Attorney Talent assignments, operations, and special projects, as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with two to three years experience in large law firm or similar professional services environment.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer programs including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of electronic databases and programs including PeopleSoft and viDesktop a plus.

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance.

The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.

New York: $58,000 - $84,100

Working Conditions:

Normal office environment and schedule (at least 4 days onsite per week). This is a non-exempt position; candidate must be willing and able to handle overtime as needed.
