Network & Security Engineer with A/V Support
Description:
CTG is seeking to fill a Network & Security Engineer with A/V Support opening for our client in Yorktown Heights, NY.
Location: Yorktown Heights, NYDuration: 12 months
Duties:
- Design, architect, build, deploy, and operate high-availability next-generation networks, cloud networks, and network security compartments based on Cisco and Palo Alto.
- Design and deploy network automation processes and workflows based on Tufin and Ansible.
- Deploy, maintain, and manage network switch infrastructure, including routers, aggregation switches, and end-user switches.
- Deploy, maintain, and manage next-generation security platforms (Firewall/IPS) and network security compartments.
- Ensure optimized and robust daily network operations for network and cloud network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, WAN/Internet connections, VPN, and cloud network connections and operations.
- Maintain, apply, and ensure a strong security posture, currency levels, and compliance according to security standards and requirements.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, mitigate, and resolve network infrastructure problems and service interruptions.
- Apply engineering and operations excellence to deployments, including proof-of-concept and next-generation network and network security installations, while adhering to industry best practices.
- Perform network change, configuration, and performance management.
- Provide audiovisual (A/V) support, including setup and deployment of media equipment and audiovisual support tools such as speakers, monitors, cameras, video conferencing equipment, and equipment racks.
- Assist and support live and broadcast events in meeting spaces and auditoriums.
- Troubleshoot and support audiovisual equipment in meeting and collaboration spaces.
- Run tests on videos, audio, and signals, troubleshooting any problems that arise.
- Conduct cleaning, maintenance, or repairs on audiovisual equipment as needed.
Skills:
- Strong expertise in designing, deploying, and maintaining Cisco and Palo Alto network and security infrastructures.
- Experience with Palo Alto Panorama.
- Proficiency in network automation tools such as Tufin and Ansible.
- Expertise in configuring and managing network switches, routers, and firewalls.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud networking and security best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for network infrastructure issues.
- Experience in network change, configuration, and performance management.
- Hands-on experience with audiovisual equipment and operations, particularly Microsoft Teams and Cisco Webex.
- Ability to support live and broadcast events in meeting spaces and auditoriums.
- Experience with audiovisual editing equipment and software.
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
Experience:
- Proven experience in next-generation network and security architecture, deployment, and management.
- Extensive experience in supporting audiovisual (A/V) operations, including live and broadcast events.
- Strong background in network automation, security, and troubleshooting.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
