As a Medical Billing Specialist your Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the billing process, ensuring compliance with federal government contracts
  • Setup and maintain national provider contracts
  • Assist in coordinating specialty exam visits for applicants
  • Conduct medical records reviews in accordance with government contract standards
  • Document exam errors and generate incomplete letters
  • Act as a point of contact between the team, applicants, provider office, and government contract officials
  • Handle escalations from provider offices regarding medical visits
  • Answer phone calls for the team
  • Utilize various software including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned.

The ideal Medical Billing Specialist will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Billing or within the revenue cycle
  • Knowledge of medical billing procedures and documentation
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR), Appeals, Benefit Functions, Billing Functions, Claim Administration, and Federal Government Contracts
  • Previous experience with an electronic medical record system preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Program skills required
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
