Position Summary:
As a Pro Smoker Service Technician, you’ll be responsible for providing quality service and support to Pro Smoker customers through service installation, startup, repairs and maintenance of equipment. The right candidate will deliver a superior customer service experience and develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers.
What you’ll do:
- Create reports of the customers they serviced that day
- Manage day to day customer service needs
- Outside service schedule planning
- Manage service projects including component and shipping needs
- Follow all the company's procedures
- Complete all in house equipment electrical panel build up, installation and testing
- Develop work instructions for upgrades and repairs
- Program PLC and Smoker house controls
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance plans for customers
- Manage all on-site installation, maintenance, repairs, and testing tasks to ensure proper documentation of all related processes.
- Conduct new smoker start-up and demonstrate how to use the equipment
- Troubleshoot any problems the customers are having via on site, phone and email
- Help create and update trouble shoot manuals
- Meet all the appointments in each day (Overnight travel may be required)
- Respond quickly to customer problems
- Advise customers on the equipment needs
- Make equipment upsell recommendations to customers
- Collaborate with the technical team and share information across the organization to build positive relationships with clients and coworkers.
What we’re looking for:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Good Driving record
- Ability to lift to 55 pounds
- Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day
- Ability to use ladders
- Amazing problem-solving skills both electrical and mechanical
- Superb customer service, communication, and self-management skills
- A technical degree is preferable
- Ability to diagnose problems with equipment
- Have a strong attention to detail
- Ability to read wire schematic
- Great mechanical aptitude
- Experience with PLC / Computer controls
