Accounting Manager
A Robert Half Management Resources client is in need of an experienced and dedicated Accounting Manager to join our team for a 4-month on-site consulting engagement. The Accounting Manager will work to ensure our company's financial operations run smoothly, providing valuable insights through monthly variance analyses and overseeing the month-end accounting close process.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the month-end accounting close process, preparing and reviewing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and additional supporting schedules as necessary.Perform monthly comparative variance analysis while thoroughly documenting any substantial fluctuations, and presenting findings to senior management during monthly pre-close trial balance review meetings.
Assist with all internal and external financial reporting, preparing cash flow statements, financial statement footnotes, and maintaining tie-out binders.
Aid in the creation of internal financial reporting packages (including dashboards, FLASH reporting, and ad-hoc analyses) for senior and executive management.
Document significant accounting processes and related internal controls as part of the development of a revised accounting manual.
Schedule and manage audits and reviews that occur on a quarterly and annual basis.
Assist with operational treasury management activities and corresponding reporting needs.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA certification is a plus.Proven experience in a similar role.
Detailed understanding of financial reporting, treasury, and financial analysis.
Strong proficiency with financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage large, varied workloads, and establish priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
