Overview:
A mom in a single-parent family is seeking a superstar candidate to help care for her 11-month-old son, the family live in Scotch Plains, NJ.
The position is for a live-in candidate with the schedule being Monday though Friday, 11am-9pm. Flexibility may be needed at times with an earlier start (and therefore an earlier finish). The accommodation would comprise of a private bedroom with a shared bathroom and common spaces.
This is very much a hybrid position with the candidate required to take on the role of nanny, cook, housekeeper, and personal assistant. You will be working alongside a second person, with the same role, so there will be lots of collaboration and team-work required.You will also be working alongside mom, who is very involved in the day-to-day life of her son.
Mom currently works from home, but will eventually go back to work. There will be occasional travel required, where Mom would request that the candidate accompany them.
Mom is very easy going and is wanting a slower pace of life for her son, including no screen-time. The candidate must be comfortable not having use of a smart phone when around him in the home either.
Responsibilities:
- All duties related to the baby, including, but not limited to laundry, meal preparation, keeping their areas clean
- General housework- laundry, vacuuming, cleaning of bathrooms, ironing, preparing meals, etc.
Qualifications:
- Mom would love to raise her son with the Montessori approach
- Mom is looking for a candidate who would like to stay with the family long term
Requirements:
- Driver with a clean licence is required
Salary and Benefits:
- Guaranteed 50 hours
- 3 weeks PTO
- Sick days
- Federal holidays
- Compensation $35/hr
