Robert Half is seeking a Litigation Associate for a growing law firm in Chicago, Illinois. The Associate will play a pivotal role in managing litigation caseload, conducting depositions, preparing for trials, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:

• Manage an independent litigation caseload, encompassing diverse areas such as toxic tort, complex product liability, general and professional liability
• Analyze, draft, and review discovery requests to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Conduct depositions to gather evidence and facts for cases
• Prepare and argue motions in court, representing our clients' interests
• Engage in trial preparation and support, ensuring all necessary documents and evidence are ready
• Investigate facts to gain a comprehensive understanding of each case
• Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial, providing guidance and support
• Attend court hearings and trials, representing our firm and our clients
• Maintain accurate time records for all tasks and activities.
• Must hold a valid license as an attorney to practice law
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a legal environment
• Demonstrated skills in civil litigation and insurance defense litigation
• Ability to draft legal documents, argue motions, and prepare for trials
• Experience in handling discovery requests and defending depositions
• Must adhere to all professional legal standards and regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
