Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist to join our transport industry team in Byron Center, Michigan. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing large volume vendor accounts, scrutinizing and coding invoices, and preparing check runs.
This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, where you will also be tasked with researching, establishing, and approving new vendor accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the processing of a large volume of vendor accounts.
- Thoroughly review and code invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and perform check runs to facilitate timely payments.
- Conduct research and approve new vendor accounts for company use.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.
- Operate MS Dynamics SL to manage accounting functions.
- Handle accounts payable duties and ensure all accounting functions are performed accurately.
- Implement auditing procedures to maintain the integrity of financial data.
- Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.
- Maintain precise record-keeping of all transactions and activities. • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems to handle financial transactions and reporting
- Expertise in Account Coding to correctly classify company expenses
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data
- Experience with MS Dynamics SL for efficient financial management
- Knowledge of Accounting Functions to ensure accurate financial operations
- Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) processes to manage company's bills and invoices
- Skills in Auditing to ensure financial compliance and accuracy
- Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions for efficient electronic payments management
