Position Overview:

As a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) in a Long Term Care facility, you will provide essential support and assistance to residents who require help due to age, illness, or disability. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of residents in a caring and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
• Help residents move safely in and out of beds, wheelchairs, and chairs, utilizing proper techniques to prevent injuries.
• Measure and record residents’ vital signs (e.g., temperature, pulse, respiration) and report any significant changes to the nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic environment for residents, including changing linens and ensuring proper sanitation in their living areas.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a warm and caring atmosphere.
• Accurately document all care provided, including any changes in the residents' conditions and the assistance given.
• Support residents during mealtime, ensuring they have access to food and hydration while addressing dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Work collaboratively with the nursing and care team to follow individual care plans and ensure high-quality care.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, ensuring the well-being of residents and staff.

Qualifications:

Certification:

• Current and valid LNA certification in New Hampshire.

Experience:

• Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred.

Skills:

• Compassion, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential. Ability to handle physical demands, such as lifting and transferring residents.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving residents, standing for long periods, and responding to emergencies.
