Site Engineer

As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the continuous improvement of our infrastructure and systems within the industry. You will be working closely with various teams to ensure the smooth running of our IT services and contribute to the overall innovation and growth of the department.

Responsibilities:

• Implement architectural design decisions to enhance the infrastructure and systems of the Zoo
• Guarantee the reliability and scalability of our systems and software
• Collaborate effectively with operations, support, and project management teams to maintain resilient infrastructure and automate operations
• Contribute to departmental innovation and continuous development in a knowledge-sharing environment
• Deploy and monitor performance metrics for applications in production environments
• Implement and uphold change management best practices for hardware and software lifecycle management
• Address software and infrastructure issues promptly
• Operate infrastructure and enterprise software platforms, ensuring high performance and availability
• Design and execute automation processes to minimize manual intervention
• Build scalable, resilient systems in collaboration with other IT teams
• Develop and maintain proactive incident management systems through monitoring and alerting
• Analyze incidents post-occurrence for continuous improvement
• Participate in capacity planning and demand forecasting for system scalability
• Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Proficiency in Amazon EC2, a prerequisite for managing and deploying scalable applications on the platform.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Ansible, essential for automating apps and IT infrastructure.
• Expertise in Apache ANT+ for building, testing, and running software.
• Familiarity with Apache Tomcat for implementing Java Servlet and JavaServer Pages.
• Practical experience with Atlassian Jira to manage projects and track issues.
• Skills in AB Testing, crucial for optimizing website and user interface designs.
• Proficiency in Agile Scrum methodologies for managing and completing complex projects.
• Extensive knowledge of Automation to streamline operations and reduce manual processes.
• Proficiency in AWS Technologies, essential for managing services and resources in the cloud.
• Experience with Cluster Analysis, useful for interpreting data patterns.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, crucial for managing network resources.
• Expertise in Amazon Cloud, essential for storing and retrieving data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, a fundamental tool for most business operations.
• Experience with Critical Infrastructure, crucial for maintaining and protecting systems and assets.
