Job Summary: The Installation Project Manager will lead and manage the installation of electronic security systems valued from $100,000 to over $3 million. This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing complex installations, strong leadership skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electronic security, access control, and surveillance systems and be willing to travel to ensure successful project delivery.

This Project Manager will be “hands-on”, installing and servicing electronic security systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of electronic security system installations. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Lead a team of installation technicians and subcontractors. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure successful project execution and professional development.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the installation process. Address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Ensure the proper installation, configuration, and integration of electronic security systems, including access control, surveillance systems, gate operators, alarm systems, and other low-voltage technologies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of project progress, including installation reports, change orders, and equipment inventories. Prepare and present status reports to stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks or issues related to installation projects and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Foster a positive and motivated team culture, promoting collaboration and innovation.
  • Maintain a safe work environment at all times.
  • Other duties as business needs require.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing the installation of integrated security systems, with a focus on high-value projects exceeding $100,000 to over $3 Million.
  • In-depth knowledge of electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, gate operators, intrusion detection, and other low-voltage technologies.
  • Read blueprints.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • Effectively lead and motivate a team of technicians and subcontractors. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Travel up to 50% to various project sites, including potential overnight stays.
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets insurance requirements.
  • Pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Proof of personal vehicle insurance to include automobile liability and property damage coverage.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Relevant technical certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work inside and outside.
  • Remain stationary at a desk, standing, and moving from place to place for prolonged periods.
  • Move equipment and materials up to 40 pounds.
  • Observe details at close range.
  • Handle products, take notes, operate technology, and present information.
  • Read documents and presentations using electronic devices and hard copy materials while interacting with others.
  • Exchange accurate information in person, over the phone, in writing, and electronically.
  • Communicate clearly and articulately for presentations and interpersonal interactions so others will understand.
  • Drive to work, client sites, and as business needs require.
  • Navigate uneven or slippery surfaces or both.
  • Safely ascend and descend stairs and ladders as needed.
  • Bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods.
Job Type: Full-time, exempt
Work/Base Location: Tampa II
Work Hours/Availability: Based on business needs
Travel: 50%
Pay Range: $80 – 85k
