Corrugated Machine Operator
This is a great opportunity to develop new skills and gain experience in a manufacturing environment.
salary: $23 - $25 per hourshift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities- Required that employees have prior year work experience in the corrugated industry or other 2-4 years’ work experience.
- May be required to maintain a current Forklift Operator License
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to apply basic calculations; general high school level math and ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
- Basic computer competence and working knowledge of machine.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 lbs: Note any objects over 50 lbs will be recommended to be handled by two members.
- Ability to read and understand manuals, instructions, safety rules, quality standards, etc.
- Inspect all dies before and after run to ensure that any necessary repairs are made before the next run
- Setup machine accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques.
- Minimize waste of sheet stock
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Monitor quality, including, but not limited to, loose liner, warp, correct size and print
- Cross train on other machines and switch duties as needed.
- Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs; be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
- Operate the machine to run efficiently and produce quality products
- Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed
