Accounts Payable Clerk

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the construction industry, located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The role involves the management of customer accounts, the processing of customer applications, and the resolution of customer inquiries in a business casual setting.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately processing about 50-100 invoices per week
• Utilizing Sage300 CRE software for various tasks
• Skillful operation of Microsoft Word and Excel for tasks such as creating account schedules and listing checks
• Handling owner direct purchase projects using Excel
• Regularly communicating with vendors and managing vendor payments
• Cutting checks and scanning them into the system
• Releasing of liens
• Maintaining accurate customer credit records
• Ensuring attention to detail in every task
• Experience in construction is preferred but not a requirement. • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk in the construction industry
• Proficiency in account reconciliation and accounts payable (AP)
• Familiarity with check runs and coding invoices
• Strong data entry skills and experience in invoice processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Sage 300
• Experience with liens and understanding of construction accounting
• Ability to process vendor invoices and handle vendor payments
• Must have construction industry experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
