Sr. Accountant

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Based out of Albuquerque, will need to travel 3-4 days a month to Winston, New Mexico, 87943, United States. This role is pivotal in the mining industry, with a hybrid work model that includes remote working with occasional site visits.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate processing and maintenance of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Efficient handling of customer invoices and managing tax returns
• Reconciliation of account balances and bank statements
• Maintenance of the general ledger and conducting month-end close procedures
• Preparation and posting of journal entries
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting functions
• Regular monitoring of customer accounts and executing necessary actions
• Ensuring compliance with standard accounting practices and company procedures
• Providing support and guidance during potential company transitions.
• Candidate must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar.
• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.
• Extensive knowledge of General Ledger management and Journal Entries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Experience in Month End Close activities is necessary.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is a must.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
• Professional certification such as CPA is an advantage.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
