Accounting Specialist

We are offering a contract for an Accounting Specialist position at our location in Weston, Florida. This role is centered in the finance industry, where you will be stationed fully in our office. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in patient billing, ensuring precision and efficiency in our billing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the generation and processing of invoices for patient services, emphasizing accuracy and punctuality
• Oversee patient accounts receivable, which includes tracking balances, managing payments, and solving billing inquiries
• Interface with insurance providers to confirm coverage, present claims, and reconcile payments
• Regularly audit billing records to detect discrepancies and confirm compliance with regulatory standards
• Provide assistance to patients and internal stakeholders concerning billing inquiries, payment options, and financial aid programs
• Update financial agreements and payment plans in line with patient requirements and organizational policies
• Assist in the closing processes for month-end and year-end financials, including account reconciliation and preparation of financial reports. • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Accounting Specialist or similar role
• Proficiency with Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, and Concur is preferred
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Auditing and Audit Activities
• Ability to handle Billing Functions, including but not limited to Billing, Billing software, Billing Statements, Electronic Billing, HealthCare Billing, Insurance Billing, Medical Billing, and Monthly Billing
• Proficiency in Patient Billing
• Strong skills in Excel Formulas and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to apply Critical Thinking to problem-solving
• Experience with Reconcile Account, Account Reconciliation, Daily Reconciliation, Invoice reconciliation, Monthly Account Reconciliation, Monthly Reconciliation, and Reconciliations
• Familiarity with Audit Activities
