Job Description:
The FPS Operations Office Administrator will provide administrative support to multiple groups within the Force Projection Sector (FPS) at Johns Hopkins APL. This role involves managing day-to-day office operations, including staff recruitment, office logistics, wireless device coordination, and property management.The position is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the FPS Operations organization, which supports critical business, financial, procurement, IT operations, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Manage routine administrative tasks, such as ordering supplies, processing expenses, and arranging travel.
- Recruitment: Coordinate the recruiting process by managing resumes, scheduling interviews, and providing status updates to supervisors.
- Office Logistics: Assist with staff office moves and onboarding of new employees, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Wireless Device Coordination: Manage the FPS wireless device program, including processing requests, activating international services, and troubleshooting issues.
- Property Management: Assist with inventory control, surplus property requests, and the Lab's wall-to-wall inventory process.
- Timekeeping Coordination: Review and audit timesheets for FPS staff on a monthly basis.
- Reporting & Communication: Update and distribute operational reports and ensure timely communication across FPS.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 5+ years of administrative office experience.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Secret-level security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree in a business-related field.
- Experience: Experience with recruiting and administrative support in financial, business operations, or IT environments.
