We are looking for a Financial Analyst II to join our team in Pomona, CA.
The Financial Analyst II will support the organization's Financial Reporting, Planning, and Analytics roles. This will require in-depth knowledge of construction accounting, strong analytical and data mining skills, and excellent communication skills as this role will interact across operational and functional departments.The position will report directly into the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and travel up to 20% of the time.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Modeling and Analysis: Building complex financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow, analyzing variances from budget/forecast and identifying key drivers of performance.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Leading the budgeting process, creating detailed budget plans, and regularly monitoring performance against budget to identify areas for improvement.
- Financial Reporting: Preparing comprehensive financial reports for senior management analyzing profitability, customer analytics, working capital management, capex spend, resource utilization, and other key performance indicators.
- Cost Management: Identifying cost reduction opportunities, analyzing cost drivers, and recommending cost control measures.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: Utilizing data analysis tools to extract meaningful insights from large datasets to inform business decisions.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop strategic financial plans aligned with business objectives.
- Compliance and Controls: Ensuring adherence to financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with 2 years relevant experience
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Hyperion, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex financial information effectively (advance PowerPoint skills is favored)
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Proven experience in financial analysis and reporting
- Understanding of business operations and key performance indicators
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Wage Range:
$79,700 - $119,500/annually
