Responsibilities:

• Prepare tax returns for individuals, families, and small businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
• Review and analyze financial records to identify deductions, credits, and other tax-saving opportunities.
• Stay current on tax laws and regulations to provide up-to-date advice and support.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation and explain tax-related matters.
• Assist clients with tax planning and offer strategies to minimize liabilities.
• File tax returns electronically or by paper based on client preferences.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding tax filings, refunds, or audits.
• Maintain client confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive financial data.
• Keep detailed records of tax preparation and filings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
• Previous experience preparing tax returns, preferably with individual and small business clients.
• Familiarity with tax preparation software (e.g., TurboTax, TaxSlayer, ProSeries, or similar).
• Knowledge of current tax laws and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Certification (EA, CPA) or preparation-related courses a plus but not required.
