Staff Accountant

We are on the hunt for a meticulous Staff Accountant to be a part of our team located in Va. Beach, Virginia. The Staff Accountant will be tasked with managing the general ledger accounting, supporting Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and payroll for multiple clients.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage general ledger accounting activities.
• Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
• Handle payroll functions for several clients.
• Perform account reconciliations.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for data entry and invoice processing.
• Work with CCH Axcess Tax, ProSystems fx Engagement, and Sage Accounting software.
• Record journal entries as needed.
• Ensure accurate billing processes.

• Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in the field of accounting or related area.
• Proficient in account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and correctness of financial data.
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, with the ability to manage these effectively.
• Demonstrated experience in billing and data entry tasks, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Ability to process invoices efficiently, maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for managing and analyzing data.
• Experience with Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP accounting software, demonstrating a strong ability to adapt to different systems.
• Capable of preparing financial statements in accordance with established guidelines.
• Experience in recording journal entries, ensuring all financial transactions are properly documented.
• Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx or similar tax software, demonstrating a commitment to staying up-to-date with industry tools.
