This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business helping our network of local cooperatives, independent dealers and other large retailers serve producers, and animal owners throughout the United States. Through industry -leading R&D and committed partnerships, we innovate the nutrition products and practices that unlock the full potential of every animal for a healthier, more productive life.
As a Quality Supervisor, your focus will be implementing and sustaining our company quality program to assure all products manufactured by our animal feed manufacturing plant comply with FDA/EQMS (Enterprise Quality Management Systems)/Feed Safety programs and meet customer expectations to achieve consistent quality levels.Additional responsibilities include the facilitation and reporting of laboratory testing, training of production personnel, and monitoring special customer driven projects.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead regulatory programs to meet the FDA requirements for FSMA, AFSP's, HACCP, GMP's, etc.
- Demonstrate proficiency in leading change in a team-oriented environment. Previous animal science, feed manufacturing, quality and/or regulatory experience preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks or assignments. Strong, motivational, leadership and training skills. Handle customer complaints correctly and with urgency to communicate with all parties involved.
- Ability to execute Operator EQMS Standards training and development
- Must possess strong customer service, quality orientation and the ability to work as part of a Team. Proven Leadership skills, strong written and verbal communication skill, problem solving skills and the ability to plan and organize. Computer proficiency. Unquestionable integrity, customer focus and detail orientation
- You will spend significant time on the plant floor with with our production operators, providing coaching and training on all quality standards and initiatives. You will also lead continuous improvement projects and also provide root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve issues.
- This position will office in the plant quality lab
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree and 2+ years leadership experience OR High School/GED and 5+ years leadership experience
- Detail orientation
- Customer service Orientation
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
- Good computer systems comfort
Salary: $69,040 - $103,560
