Robert Half - Staff Accountant

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant at our location in Commack, New York. This role will involve working in a dynamic construction industry, where you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger management, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date customer credit records.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues.
• Monitor customer accounts and ensure appropriate action is taken when necessary.
• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process.
• Manage and reconcile bank statements.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations.
• Execute AIA Billing tasks.
• Maintain and manage the general ledger.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with General Ledger management
• Ability to prepare and record Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP accounting software
• Proficiency in AIA Billing
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
