We are in the process of recruiting a Staff Accountant to join our team in the Construction/Contractor industry, located in BAY SHORE, New York, United States. As a Staff Accountant, you will be expected to handle a variety of tasks, including maintaining balance sheet reconciliation, managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, and reporting directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire process of month-end closing.
- Maintain accurate records of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
- Regularly reconcile bank statements with the general ledger and journal entries.
- Uphold standard costing principles and apply them in your work.
- Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when needed.
- Utilize various software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for efficient data management.
- Report directly to the CFO, contributing to strategic financial decisions.
- Ensure all accounting tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.

- Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
- Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations
- Proficiency in managing General Ledger and making Journal Entries
- Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
- Proficiency in using software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of construction industry accounting practices is preferred.
