Our client is the market leader in biotechnology and bio processes nearly 70 years. Based in the Greater Boston area they develop and manufacture capital equipment to improve laboratory outcomes across multiple verticals including - bio tech, clinical, food & bev, etc.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Market Analysis:
  • Perform in-depth competitive analyses (i.e., analyze proficiency survey participation, attend conferences).
  • Conduct voice of the customer research in close collaboration with Product Management.
  • Gather market feedback from the Sales team on a regular basis.
Sales Support:
  • Develop & optimize Sales tools & customer-facing collateral in collaboration with Marketing.
  • Provide comprehensive and timely information to our Global Sales teams as a "go-to" product expert.
  • Support training sessions for our distributors and global sales teams.
  • Perform product demonstrations for customers, prospects, staff, and other stakeholders.
Product Lifecycle Management:
  • Support new product launches, sustaining projects, and product obsolescence.
  • Assist with the development of business plans (i.e., product proposals, business cases, launch plans).

Attributes required for the APM to be successful are that of customer focus, a collaborative style, and goal orientation with a personal sense of urgency. Active listening, strong analytical skills, impeccable communication, and a desire to learn are a must.

The Successful Applicant

Requirements:1. This position requires 3 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the bioprocess/biotech products market.
  1. Scientific background is a plus.
  2. Direct customer interaction is an advantage.
  3. Fluency in spoken and written English
  4. Excellent communication skills verbally and written
  5. Ability to work independently but also a team player
  6. Up to 30% travel to prospects, customers and tradeshowsEducation Requirements:
  7. A Bachelor's degree is required.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  1. Typical office environment.
  2. Must be able to use basic office equipment: computer, printer, copier, telephone, etc.
  3. Must be able to remain stationary for long periods of time.
  4. Must be capable of communicating with stakeholders through various means.
