Project Cost Controller

We are in need of a Project Cost Accounting Manager or Controller, based in West Columbia, South Carolina. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity and centers around maintaining financial stability within the company. The Project Cost Controller will be responsible for managing financial activities, implementing cost control measures, and ensuring the smooth operation of accounting software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Must have Cost Accounting Experience. Manage and improve financial processes to ensure efficient operation and accurate reporting.
• Oversee the implementation of the Infor system, ensuring seamless transition and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Work closely with the finance team to manage any attrition and maintain team morale.
• Assist in maintaining the general ledger, including monthly close processes and cash flow analysis.
• Take responsibility for cost accounting within the manufacturing sector, including managing manufacturing costs and processes.
• Implement and monitor budget processes, ensuring all financial operations are within budget.
• Handle customer credit applications and maintain accurate customer credit records.
• Resolve customer inquiries and monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary.
• Dive into the company's financial processes for improvements, documentation, and other necessary adjustments.
• Work with a team to stabilize the company's financial situation, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Understanding and application of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Budget Processes
• Skills in Cash Flow Analysis
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Cost Accounting
• Familiarity with Manufacturing Costs
• Ability to handle Month End Close
• Experience with General Ledger
