Robert Half is searching for a Finance Director for an amazing organization near Danbury, New Hampshire. Candidate must be local and able to commute as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Inventory and Cost Accounting/Analysis
  • Oversee and manage the general accounting.
  • Supervise all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct detailed financial reporting including preparation of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage budgeting processes and cash flow forecasting to aid in the company's financial planning.
  • Implement strategy and financial planning initiatives to drive financial growth.
  • Undertake heavy GL and journal entries tasks, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives within the finance department to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Perform general accounting duties as required, ensuring adherence to best practices and company policies.
  • Utilize software tools and Excel to perform tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Leverage strong accounting skills and a strategic mindset to support the financial health of the organization.

  • The ideal candidate should have accounting experience at a Director or VP level
  • Experience with inventory and cost analysis/cost accounting
  • They should have advanced experience working with Financial Closings, General Ledgers, Journal Entries, and financial reporting
  • This candidate should be strong in Excel and accounting systems.
  • Strategy, problem solving, planning, implementations, etc. mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • CPA is highly preferred but not required
