Payroll Specialist

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in the construction industry. The role is based in UPPER MARLBORO, MD onsite 5 days a week. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be tasked with managing payroll systems, processing payroll for union employees and certified payroll.

Responsibilities:

• Management and processing of weekly payroll.
• Operating various Accounting Software Systems proficiently.
• Ensuring accuracy in check processing.
• Utilizing Sage Timberline and Sage Timberline Software for various tasks.
• Overseeing the Certified Payroll process and ensuring its compliance.
• Handling aspects of construction accounting.
• Contributing to project accounting tasks.

• Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role in payroll processing.
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Must be familiar with Check Processing procedures.
• Experience with Sage Timberline and Sage Timberline Software is vital.
• Should be capable of managing Weekly Payroll without supervision.
• Possession of Certified Payroll credentials is a plus.
• Prior experience in Construction Accounting is necessary.
• Must have knowledge of Project Accounting in the construction industry.
