After School Program Director - Bellows Falls Middle School

We are currently looking for a dynamic Director to lead our After School Program for the 2024-25 school year at Bellows Falls Middle School in Bellows Falls, VT. As the Director, you'll be the key player behind every aspect of running the Healthy Kids Program Site.
JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-ExemptSCHEDULE: Mon-Fri, 3:00 pm 6:00 pm
PAY: $18 - $20 per hour
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Guiding Compliance: Ensure both staff and program comply with state guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and any rules set by our host school.
Bringing the Fun: Lead engaging, hands-on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. Plus, dont forget about helping with homework youll be their homework hero!Managing Like a Boss: Oversee key management tasks such as maintaining attendance and registration records, and ensuring proper staffing levels to keep the program running smoothly.
Keeping Everyone in the Loop: Keep communication lines open with parents and family members via the Playground App.Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively and regularly with your direct report to make sure they are in the loop and any issues are addressed promptly. Working together as a cohesive team will allow us to provide the highest level of care and maintain a positive, supportive work environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
To qualify for the Director role, you must meet or exceed one of the following:
Be at least 18 years old, hold a BA, BS, or Associates degree, and have one of the following qualifications: At least ten months of direct work experience with school-age children, or
A Vermont On-the-Job Training certificate, orVermont Afterschool Professional Credential, or
Vermont Program Director Credential, or
Vermont Teacher Licensure, or
A Masters Degree in a youth-related field.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Ready to pass a background check.Youre medically fit to perform the required duties and free from communicable diseases, including TB.
You're warm, friendly, and energetic. You have exceptional people skills and excel in engaging with children, parents, and fellow team members. You are professional, reliable, and punctual.
Youre physically capable of bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying (up to 50 lbs.) to keep up with active kids.
