We are in search of a Systems Administrator to join our team in NEW YORK, New York. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As a Systems Administrator, you will be tasked with managing and troubleshooting hardware issues, administering collaboration tools, ensuring the security of our systems, and supporting meeting conferencing, AV, and VoIP systems.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot hardware issues and ensure efficient operation of all systems.
- Administer and manage collaboration tools to ensure effective team communication.
- Oversee Active Directory/Office 365 administration, including the use of IAM tools such as Okta.
- Implement and manage security tools such as MDM, endpoint protection, internet security, endpoint encryption, patch management, VPN, events logging, and anti-phishing/spam techniques to safeguard our systems.
- Support meeting conferencing, AV, and VoIP systems to facilitate smooth communication.
- Maintain current technical knowledge of protocols, operating systems, and standards, including Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and other productivity tools.
- Provide technical support for software applications including Mac OS and Jamf Pro.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and secure operations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of system enhancements.
- Address and resolve system-related inquiries and issues in a timely manner. • Candidate must have a minimum of five years of experience as a Systems Administrator
- Proficiency in Mac OS is necessary for this role
- Experience with Jamf Pro is a crucial requirement
- Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently
- Proven track record in maintaining and troubleshooting systems
- Experience in implementing and maintaining security protocols and procedures
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred
- Relevant detail oriented certifications would be advantageous
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
