Salary Range: $48.00 - $50.00 Hourly

About this position:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing care for and treating detainees in a correctional setting. Correctional nurses administer both routine and emergency medical care and treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
Education/Certifications- Graduate from a nationally accredited registered nursing program
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of employment or ability to obtain license
- Current Basic Life Support
- Correctional nursing experience preferred but not required
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Available shift:
- 6A-6P - Day Shift
- 10A-10P - Mid Shift
- 6P-6A - Night Shift
- PRN Availability
General Duties: included but not limited to:
- Seeing patients for medical complaints, both acute and chronic
- Performing 14-day physicals on all patients
- Managing their chronic medical conditions by monitoring labs and medication efficiency
- Working with the dentist to ensure that our patients oral care is addressed
- Responding to medical emergencies
- Working hand in hand with physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and correctional staff who all have the same goal of optimal patient care
- Excellent communication skills-verbal and written; Ability to concisely communicate situations or needs effectively with sites and GENESYS Health Alliance Corporate Managers
- Computer proficiency required-email, document exchange, excel, etc.
