Systems Administrator

We are seeking a Jr Systems Administrator to play a crucial role in supporting the efficient and effective operation of the organization's technology infrastructure. This position requires a strong understanding of computer systems, basic networking, and software applications, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and assistance to staff across the organization.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and network components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Upgrade and maintain operating systems and software modules.
• Develop and implement procedures for information system operations.
• Collaborate with public safety and municipal staff to ensure effective use of technology.
• Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical staff.
• Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest technology trends and developments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in information management services and network administration.
• Comprehensive knowledge of computer operating systems and software applications.
• Strong understanding of computer networking concepts and technologies.
• Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switching, virtualization (Microsoft Hyper-V), telecom systems, VoIP,.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with non-technical staff.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
