Accounts Payable Specialist

We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in LEWIS CENTER, Ohio. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity within the industry. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be expected to utilize your skills in account coding, accounting software systems, and accounts payable to perform a variety of tasks including processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize accounting software systems to process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain precise records of customer credit, ensuring all account coding is up-to-date
• Use your knowledge of accrual accounting to monitor and manage customer accounts
• Resolve customer inquiries, utilizing your research analysis skills to provide comprehensive answers and solutions
• Adapt to changing circumstances and requirements, demonstrating flexibility and critical thinking in your approach
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective account management
• Conduct regular audits to ensure all financial reporting is accurate and compliant
• Utilize the Automated Clearing House (ACH) system for financial transactions
• Draw on your accounting functions experience to contribute to team objectives and goals
• Display adaptability in various situations and under different tasks. • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role or in the field of accounting
• Proficient in accounting software systems
• Knowledgeable in accounts payable (AP) processes and accrual accounting
• Skilled in account coding
• Background in auditing and automated clearing house (ACH) transactions
• Capable of performing research analysis
• Demonstrated ability to adapt easily to new processes and software
• Understanding of general accounting functions and principles
