Regional Sales Manager
Overview:
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Regional Sales Manager - West directs all field sales activities within the respective sales region. This position recommends staffing and supervises training for field sales personnel; manages the regional sales force to meet or exceed company objectives as well as make recommendations regarding sales policies, pricing, sales quotas, territories, distribution, and compensation; develops short-term and long-term regional sales objectives and assists in developing sales forecast data.
This position should be located in southern CA.
Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned- Supervise the regional sales organization
- Ensure the Sales Team meets sales objectives (profitability, expense control, revenue, product mix)
- Generate sales estimates and quotations
- Coordinate procedures for soliciting, bidding, and execution of contract sales
- Perform market research and planning
- Assist in trade show selection and workforce requirements
- Perform oral and written presentation as needed
- Assist in new sales hires training
- Conduct performance reviews on direct reports

JOB REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of industrial and/or packaging sales experience
- Industrial or product background preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
- Knowledge of pressure sensitive tapes highly desirable
- SAP experience preferred
- Prior sales management experience desired
- Ability to work with minimum of supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment with coworkers who possess various personalities
- Ability to work well with the public
- Ability to handle stress
- Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Detail oriented
- Ability to travel at least 75% of the time

This is a fast-paced work environment with consistent pressure to complete duties as outlined above which requires ability to manage multiple projects at a detailed level and provide support to many internal departments in a fast-changing environment.Many duties listed above are time-sensitive and have strict deadlines for completion.
