Staff Accountant - Robert Half

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in West Valley City, Utah. The Staff Accountant will handle various accounting tasks in a dynamic environment, with key responsibilities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.

Responsibilities:

• Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy
• Manage the General Ledger, including recording and verifying transactions
• Prepare and enter journal entries as part of the month-end close process
• Utilize Oracle and Microsoft Excel for finance-related tasks and reporting
• Execute cash applications to ensure correct allocation of customer payments
• Oversee Treasury functions, managing the organization's cash flow and financial planning
• Process Accounts Payable (AP) tasks, including invoice processing and vendor payments
• Utilize advanced Excel formulas for financial analysis and reporting
• Ensure financial data is maintained accurately, and any discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• The applicant must hold a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivables (AR) is a prerequisite.
• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is mandatory.
• The candidate should possess a strong understanding of the General Ledger.
• Experience in managing Journal Entries is required.
• The applicant must have hands-on experience with Month End Close procedures.
• Working knowledge of Oracle is a plus.
• The candidate should be adept at using Excel Formulas.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is crucial.
• The applicant must have experience with Cash Applications.
• The candidate should have familiarity with Treasury operations.
