Accounts Receivable Rep (Collections)

Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm

The Accounts Receivable Representative is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services to ensure the effective handling of all billing and collection functions, and to maximize the application of cash receipts through the adherence to established protocol and procedures.

• Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, credit card and EFT transactions
• Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line, and contacting customers to obtain past due balances
• Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales and customers
• Protects company by keeping information confidential
• Sets up new accounts and verifies references from credit applications
• Assists customers in resolving issues related to invoices and statements
• Prepares and distributes invoices according to established procedure
• Processes credit memos and adjustments, as needed
• Maintains and updates customer files with issued invoices
• Ensures accuracy of billings in comparison to established sales agreements
• Serves as backup to the Supervisor of Accounts Receivable as needed performs month end duties as required
