Experience with medication assisted treatment desired.
The successful candidate will perform diagnostic assessments|screens, mental status exam, psycho-social interview on children 0 - 17 years old who have been recently removed from their primary caretaker by the Department of Children and Family Services (DCF) for abuse and|or neglect concerns.Complete comprehensive report to inform|support recommendations made to DCF for each child. Coordinate multi-disciplinary component of evaluation with dental and medical departments.
Conduct interviews with patients|family members to evaluate coping abilities, dysfunctional adjustments, maladaptive behaviors, functional status. Provide individual, family, group therapy, crisis intervention and psycho-education. Evaluate for child abuse, domestic violence and makes appropriate referrals.Act as a consultant and|or educator to staff relative to assessment, criteria & referral. Act as a liaison for the patients within community (local, state and private agencies).
